Cannot retrieve License File

Hi, I have an Academic concurrent license from MATLAB, when I try to activate the product, I get the following message: (License files for network licenses cannot be retrieved automatically. You need to retrieve the license file from the MathWorks website and then modify it as described in the Installation Guide. Contact your system administrator for assistance).

I went through google and tried to solve it, but with no luck! can anyone please give me a way to solve this problem?

Your license type expects a license server to be handling the license authentication. The above link gives information on how to retrieve a license to install on a license server. The part below that in the link, about network licenses, talks about the local file that a user of the license would need to direct MATLAB to talk to a license server.

Your license is not for standalone use: it is not locked to the individual host as would be the case if you were using standard activation procedures.
