Finding the error/difference between two 3D objects

I am trying to find the difference or error between two 3D models. The "error" I am trying to find would be defined as the existent difference to get from the 3D object A to the 3D object B. I am using triangular meshes. My question would be if there is an effective way of measuring this "difference".

I have attached a .fig containing the two 3D objects I would like to compare.
