data set relating

I have data set for surface roughness values of a sample, along with I have data set for viscosity of lubricant in connection with that particular sample in rolling state. The effect of these parameters on pitting /failure time is available. Which one is best toolbox/method to be used for relating surface roughness, lubricant viscosity and failure?

Relating is very general terminology. Considering the low detail of your description I would say MATLAB would suffice.
