Ensemble average & time normalization

Hi I am a graduate student studying biomechanics. I have a question regarding how to perform ensemble average and time normalization at the same time. For instance, there are three data sets and each data set has different time periods as presented below. Data 1: [1 2 3 4 3 2 3 3 2 1 1 4 4 3 2 2 3 1] Data 2: [2 2 2 3 2 1 3 2 3 4 2 2 1 3 4 3 2 2 1 3 4 3 2 3] Data 3: [1 1 2 3 2 3 4 3 2 1 2 3 3 4 4 3 3 2 3 4 3 2]

I want to plot an ensemble average graph of the 3 data sets normalized to 100%. Please help me out~~!!

I don't know what that means. What is an "ensemble" average? How is it different than the average of the three data arrays? And normalized to 100% of what??? And does normalizing take place before or after averaging?
