Does the makehdr function in matlab applied Paul Debevec's algorithm?

Hi, I am confusing about the makehdr function in matlab while I refer to the Paul Debevec's algorithm and the code of makehdr function in matlab, since I can't found much similarity between the Paul's algorithm in the code of makehdr function. Appreciate that if anyone could help me in this matter. Thanks in advance.
