Trying to run MATLAB R12 in Windows 2000 with a Pentium 4 PC.

When I try to compile a code with the indicated setup, I get this:

"The exception Privileged instruction. {0xc0000096} occurred in the application at location 0x00010110."

A google search revealed that this was a known problem a few years back, but all links that lead to solution instructions are dead.

Does anyone remember what was the solution?
