Update plot in standalone window

Hi All!

I want to update plot in standalone window. How can I make the next operations: 1. I start matlab, execute code and plot graph in separate window. Is it possible to close matlab and remain the window with plot?

2. I want start matlab through several time (several hours) and update this plot with new data (or close old plot window and make new one). Is it possible to obtain "pointer" for the plot window for such using?

Or, may be, there is a third-party program, which can show changed jpeg image? In this case I can simply make jpeg image at every code execution.
