Abaqus2Matlab, a new Matlab App to connect Abaqus and Matlab

Rather than a question, this is more a comment that will hopefully be useful to those in the MathWorks community using the finite element software Abaqus, many questions have been posted on how to connect Abaqus and Matlab.

A new version of Abaqus2Matlab, a piece of software that connects Abaqus and Matlab has just been released. This new version comes in the form of an easy-to-install Matlab App with the following main features:

• The possibility to postprocess not only .fil files, but also .odb and .mtx
• A new Graphical User Interface (GUI) that enables the user to easily request output variables and automatically creates a Matlab script with all the required information.
