Random seed: Genetic algorithm

Hi, I'm doing a project dealing with Evolutionary programming. I'm on R2013a, using the function "rand" for getting my random numbers. While I was doing it on my personal computer, the results showed are always different, however when I moved to my computer lab in school to use multiple computers at once to quicken the process of getting results, all the results that appear were exactly the same. So I'm thinking something is wrong with the seeding of the random number, is there anyway to fix it so that it will generate different random numbers?
