paramteric 3dplot

Hello I am having problem in parametric 3D plotting passing additional arguments to it.

for instance z=a*t x=r*cos(b*t) y=r*som(b*t) I am having problem with the syntax of passing the args. and plotting.

Can you explain more thoroughly what your difficulty is?

t = linspace(0,2*pi);
a = 0.3; b = 2; r = rand;
z = a*t;
x = r*cos(b*t);
y = r*sin(b*t);
plot3(x,y,z)
