I need a world coastlines database as text, how to make that out of the mapping module?

I have had one long ago, on an Atari! But lost it. It may be small, it is for a world map on A4 paper. I just need longitudes and latitudes.

If you have a specific area that you want to draw, search with the area name + ShapeFile.

Thanks. But I know those but the problem is in the shapefile format. I need latitudes and longitudes, because the projection method I am working on is a bit complex.

ShapeFile contains latitude and longitude in numeric format. Load ShapeFile first with shaperead and choose lat&lon fields:

S = shaperead('concord_roads.shp');
lat = S.X;
lon = S.Y;
