TMTOOL does not find GPIB interface

I am running Matlab R2010B with the instrument control toolbox. I have installed a NI GPIB card, along with the required drivers. I can access the card using the NI MAX tool, but TMTOOL does not identify the hardware. In fact, TMTOOL has hung while scanning for GPIB boards.

Try to close NI-MAX and access the device only from MATLAB. Sometimes, the device may not get recognized if its being used by another program.
