Partial differential equation system

Hi, I'm a PhD student and I have to solve a partial differential equation system in 2-D and time. The problem it's an initial value problem. Is there a matlab solver that could help me? Thanks!

Have you looked at the PDE Toolbox? That can solve 2D PDEs.

I can't use PDE toolbox, because it can't simulate the physics of my problem. I have to simulate the combustion phenomena in a moving grate combustor, so I have to solve a stiff system of partial differential equations that involves chemical reactions, heat and mass exchanges, srhinkage of bed etc.. Do you have any advice?
