How to read a matrix data from a subfunction by HDLs coder

I am doing a project about levitation acoustic that using FPGA board to control signal. And I must do many programming on the matlab so I using HDLs coder with Matlab to convert code from Matlab into Verilog language. And input of programming is a delay time array that can change depends on number ultrasound and distance between each ultrasound (It is a matrix time ). But when I generate HDLs coder (with a file of main function and a testbench file, But It appear error so not understand Z(1,1),Z(1,2) (access elements of matrix) and Z matrix is output of a sub function (this matrix can change) as the following figure:

I want know the way to read a matrix data to when convert into verilog language is that the programming still understand
