Email Notification in MATLAB Answers

If I am interested in one question in MATLAB Answers and I would like to get an email notification whenever a comment or an answer is posted to this question.

How do I do that?

Related to this, is there a way to "star" a question?

I just want to see a page that lists all questions that I am interested in. I don't really care if it is Question, Answer or Comment that are posted by me.

I thought people did get emails if people replied to one of their posts.

There is no way to star a question, but if you're using Firefox or IE, you can create a folder in your bookmarks called Answers or something like that then type control-D (in Firefox) to book mark that page and put it in that folder. Then all of the discussions you want to follow are links in that folder for you to conveniently click on. Sadly Chrome doesn't have a bookmark panel and say they don't ever want to put one in, in spite of users asking for it.

Yes, for the post that I create, there is a check box that let me to turn on/off email notification. But I cannot find the same check box for the question that I answer or comment.

I guess I am still used to using Google Groups to read the MATLAB newsgroup.

You can get a list of all questions you answer or comment on from the My MATLAB Answers pulldown menu. For questions that you're interested in but have not participated in, I think you're stuck with the bookmark solution because there is no email notification of ones that you're just interested in.

I actually don't like that interface that separates Answers, Questions and Comments. I just want to see any post that I am interested in to be shown in one page.

The ability to follow or favorite/star a question and receive e-mail notification when new answers or comments are added does not currently exist in Answers. This is a feature that's on our development plan.
