Automatic vehicle license plate recognition system

hi........... am doing my final year project in "Automatic vehicle license plate recognition system" using a matlab. the system takes an input image [resolution(640*480)] The process involves 1.vertical edge detection. 2.Filtering 3.Edge matching 4.histogram 5.segment the license plate into number of parts. 6.Template matching. am not an expert in matlab.need source code
