How to use the addcopyright function?

I am unable to find a way to properly use this function, addcopyright. I have stumbled upon Jiro Doke's blog followed instructions typing "addcopyright '<filename.m>'" to my editor then publishing it, but it did not write off as a copright as a footnote like his example instead it was an error. Could it possibly be my edition of my MatLAB? Or I am just using this function wrong?

That function is not standard part of MATLAB. You have to download it from MathWorks FileExchange and put it in your MATLAB search path, before you can use it.
