multiscale MSER feature extraction?

How can I extract multiscale MSER features from an image? In the help it says that it is possible but I don't see how to implement it.

Use the detectMSERFeatures function.

Is the RegionAreaRange the option to set the scale?

MSER is different from interest point detectors like SURF or Harris. It does not detect local maxima of some function over multiple scales. It detects regions of pixels with similar intensities. You can control the range of sizes of those regions using RegionAreaRange.
