Can function call generator suffice the sample time?

Hi, i have a simulink model in which one of the blocks has to run faster than the complete model. I would like to use function call generator and trigger the block multiple number of times with iterations option. Can this suffice the faster sample time I need for the block I want to have lower sample time?
