How to detect a specific period of a square wave?

Dear all,

I have a square wave signal that's obtained from Simulink. By referring to square wave's graph attached, I need to detect if amplitude of the square wave is being "1" for along time. In other word, I want to detect the period a-b, as shown in graph.

Any idea?
