Is it possible to save axes as image containing either the colorbar or the legend?

How could I save axes as image with colorbar or legend together? I would prefer another command instead of imwrite because print screen is too slow.

Which MATLAB version are you using? There was an important change in colorbar and legend as of R2014b.

Try export_fig():
