Why will my activation key not work?

I am using a key provided by my university in the add license but it is not working.

Can be all kinds of things. As a first step, you should go back to the person who gave the key to you, together with the error message and MATLAB release you want to install and OS. If they don't know, probably together contact MathWorks installation support, so you can get quick help and the university team learns.
