Change Dynamics of Pressure Reducing Valve Block in SimHydraulics (R2013a)
이전 댓글 표시
I am attempting to model a pressurized system with a residential home and observe the change in pressure in the system due to common events such as shower, toilet or sink use. An important variable for me to document would be the effects that the PRV of the home has on the pressure level returning to the desired level.
Looking at the parameters of the block it does not seem possible to change how quickly the PRV will react to pressure drops in the system. Will the only control that I will have be to change the flow coefficient to limit the amount of fluid that passes through the block or is there another option?

In R2015a, SimHydraulics added valve opening dynamics in pressure relief valves. This gives you the exact option you are looking for, which is that the valve takes a certain amount of time to open/close every time it transitions states.
If you are able to upgrade to R2015a or later, that would be your easiest solution -- otherwise, you'd have to use the Simscape language to script your own valve dynamics... which takes time and effort.
