What is main difference between Academic and Student License?

Hello, I am a graduate student. The MATLAB license that our department possesses is limited to usage on PCs in the lab. In order to use my laptop for work outside of my university, I would like to purchase a student license.

I was simply curious if my student license will have all the features that an academic license has.

I wanted to buy following three student licenses for one year

1. Control Toolbox
2. Model Predictive Control
3. Data Acquistion Toolbox.

All three of those toolbox can be purchased for a student license

• Student licenses are limited in the number of Simulink blocks they can use
• Report generator for Student licenses includes a watermark
• some toolboxes cannot be purchased for Student licenses, especially the ones having to do with compiling or generating code
