Using a standalone application

Hello, I found an attachment with a standalone application in one bachelor's thesis on the internet. This application, developed in MATLAB, deals with spectrum analysis and frequency response measurement. The author of the thesis seems to have used a student license to write the program. Can I use this standalone application created by the student since the attachment is downloadable? I found it interesting and would like to use it at the company where I work. You can certainly distribute it. Whether other people will be able to run it will depend on the manner in which you are dstributing it. If they have Matlab, or if you are creating the standalone with the Matlab Compiler, it would work.
