Of course. If you have a question about it then you should post it here.
It it's thoroughly debugged, robust, general, and flexible enough for other people to use with their own data, then you can upload it to the File Exchange.

The main point of plagiarism is not that text cannot exist anywhere else, but that you are clear about authorship. Some style guides require you to self-cite as well, meaning that if you have already published something in another location at an earlier date, you should mention that earlier location. That way you always link back to the original.
If you have any doubts, always check with your supervisors. They may have their own standards, which may be more strict than the generally accepted guidelines Image Analyst or I are used to.

@Zar you asked "can we share our original code here,?" Yes, people do it all the time. If it is your original code you are sharing, then there is never any issue with plagiarism on your part. Others who use the code you posted may possibly be accused of that, but not you.
If, like @Walter Roberson said, you get automatically accused or plagiarizing your own code I think you can fight back against that automatic classification, especially/certainly if they are not able to find any other source of the code other than your own post.

Apparently, the automated cheating detection systems do not generally give citations to establish proof of copying. And there have been reports that some of the markers refuse to listen. There is also the challenge of proving that a particular Answers account is associated with a particular student.
Another issue is that in some places the rule is that the only people you can ask for assistance is the TAs, that even asking a different student to explain a question (without solving it) is considered a violation.

The FileExchange is a suiting location for sharing code, while the Answers forum is not.
Plagiarism does only occur, if the copying persons do not mention the author of the code. So include the copyright information directly in the files. There are attached license files also, but they are lost frequently.
