error occuring

 extreme_red = 1/(1 + exp(100(image_red - vmax_red - 0.1)));
                                            |
Error: Unbalanced or unexpected parenthesis or bracket.

can u suggest me how to remove this error..... as fast as possible anyone.

You're missing a "*" after the "100"
