Hello, I'd like to express thw following question. I'd like to create an indoor - cartesian - map in the ray tracing toolbox of matlab with surfaces of various material types. From the documentation I assumed that you describe all of the surfaces of your indoor map just with one surface material type:
"Surface material of Cartesian map surface, specified as one of these values: "plasterboard","perfect-reflector", "ceilingboard", "chipboard", "floorboard", "concrete", "brick", "wood", "glass", "metal", "water", "vegetation", "loam", or "custom". ".
Is that assumption correct or there is the option to create surfaces, included in the same map, with different materials.

Thank you

Hi Stavros,
It is my understanding that you want to know if you can use the RayTracing function in the Communications Toolbox to create an indoor Cartesian map with surfaces of multiple material types.
To achieve this, I would recommend referring to a helpful answer provided by Pooja Kumari in a related question on the MathWorks community forum (https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/1962444).
This response offers detailed insights on incorporating multiple objects into a single indoor model, along with a sample code to assist you.
Hope this answer helps.
