Copy Figure in MetaFile Error

Dear all,

I'm using MATLAB R2020b. Recently, I encounter errors everytime I copy the MATLAB plot figure as MetaFile using "Edit >> Copy Figure".

The error messages are as follows:

Error using print (line 83)
There was a problem while generating the output:
Unable to copy the figure to the clipboard.
Increasing the Java Heap Size setting in the MATLAB preferences may help;
otherwise try saving to a file or choose a different clipboard format.

Error in matlab.graphics.internal.copyFigureHelper
(line 158)
print(argsToPrint{:});

Error in editmenufcn (line 69)
        matlab.graphics.internal.copyFigureHelper(hfig) 
Error while evaluating Menu Callback.

Hi Chris_WMS,

I also have encountered the similar error when I adjusted the copy options as follows:

• Clipboard format: Metafile
• Figure background color: Transparent background
• Size: Match figure screen size (checked)

The workaround that worked for me was updating my MATLAB version to R2021a.
