R2014b support for graphic handle error

I am using MATLAB R2014b (recently upgraded in my lab from R2013A to R2014b). Earlier, I had no problem while using one of the toolboxes for EEG signal processing. Now after upgrading, I am getting this error "Function is not defined for 'matlab.ui.control.UIControl' inputs., "

I have seen in one of the blogs 'Loren on the Art of Matlab' http://blogs.mathworks.com/loren/2014/11/05/matlab-r2014b-graphics-part-3-compatibility-considerations-in-the-new-graphics-system/ that, we might get some errors related to graphics handle in R2014b version, which might be of no concern in earlier versions.

Could anyone please help me how to resolve this issue?

Did you already try running the tools it referred to in that blog post?

The GraphicsUpdater tool would probably give you more information than the runtime error.
