Plot spectrogram plot just like pre 2015

How to generate a spectrogram plot in Matlab 2017 to be just like that obtained by

specgramdemo()

That is, generate the spectrogram plot to look like this:

What are the plots 1 and 2 shown in the figure and how to get those plots in Matlab 2017.

specgramdemo was a really nice piece of code. It will be quite serious work to rebuild the whole thing

otherwise , attached the original files - they are still working even though you may have to change some portion of the code as warnings appear.
