How to compare captured image with database images in MatLab?

I am trying to develop a system by which we can convert sign language to audible sound file by look up table.I want program,by help of which image can be capture through web camera and copmare it with database images,sound file related with that sign play on speaker.Time interval between two images should be 1.5 second.

Thank you for answer,but we required an program which is compatible to raspberry pi,ARM 11 model.

No one would have known that from your original answer. I added a tag for raspberry pi so maybe someone will answer. I know that I don't have any raspberry pi programs, or even own the board. Nonetheless, if someone's done it, it will be listed in the link I gave, which has nearly all image processing articles ever published.
