How can I get a monthly multianual mean?

Dear all,
I have a database for daily inflows of 20 years and I would like to get the monthly mean for every year. This is an example of the database.
year= [1991 1991 1991 1991 ...2014]; month =[Jan Jan Jan Jan.....Dec]; day=[01 02 03 04...31....01 02 03...30..]; inflow=[10 15 18 23.....21]
I've been trying different loops with FOR and IF but still can't make it. At the end I need a matrix of this size [#years, 12(months)]. I would really appreciate your help.
