Hide an activeX control behind a panel impossible

Hello,

It is written in the documentation that an activeX element cannot be the child of a panel: http://ch.mathworks.com/help/matlab/creating_guis/adding-components-to-a-programmatic-gui.html

This is very annoying in my case, since I have a GUI where I want to hide that activeX window before the user presses a button that activates the panel. How could I hide the activeX control until I want it to appear?
