Error Using ==> phase: Too many input arguments.

i am running Bry-Boschan turning point analysis on Matlab,one of the code is:
[phase,eightPhases,eightPhasesNorm,gcal,indvPhases] = phase(peakobs,troughobs,ndfy,ndfm,ndly,ndlm,figure,bcoal);
running it returns:
Error Using ==> phase: Too many input arguments.
i look at the phase.m file in the Matlab folder, it only has on input, why did this happen? how to solve that?
Many thanks!

Nathan - did you obtain the Bry-Boschan from the File Exchange, or elsewhere?

phase is also a buitin function in MATLAB. I suspect this is causing the problem.
