Not able to connect Lego Mindstorm EV3 brick to computer via an Ethernet network

I am unable to view an IP address and connect to a common network with my computer. Anyone who has faced a similar problem ?

Are you using the connection method mentioned here:

Try this way, see if this resolves the issue.
