About Stateflow coder usage

Hello, i have a question regarding on the logic model autocoding using stateflow coder. In MAAB guideline 2007, the Matlab functions can not be used in stateflow chart autocoding, and i dont know why. Could anybody give me an explanation for that. Many thanks
