distributed randomized algorithms wireless network

I am reading some distributed randomized algorithms for structuring wireless networks under interference. Basically the distributed algorithms assign some power levels to nodes and nodes transmit with some probability.

Can MATLAB be used to simulate such type of algorithms?? Or any other easy-to-use simulators exisit??

You can perform simulations in matlab, but you will have to provide the structure of your wireless network, in and out values and how they are computed.
