how to extract the high intensity region from the image?

i am in need to extrct high intensity region from the image ....can anybody provide a way to proceed...i have tried imhist function alredy but it fails...plz help me

Do you mean by selecting high-intensity pixels directly or selecting manually on the image the region you want?
