Packed Bit Array - RWT UDP

Hello,

Looking to create an interface in simulink that will send out UDP packets over loopback to another executable on my computer. I want to be able to create an mfile or function block that will allow me to change what is being sent over UDP.

I was a little lost on how to handle packed bit arrays. Lets say the first byte of my message, I want to be filled with bit flags... In my script, I might have some workspace variables like Flag1, Flag2, Flag3... etc. Matlab will store these by dafault as double. How to I consolidate these into a packed bit array? I want the ability in my script to just code "Flag1 = 1 or 0".
