Create checkbox in excel using ActiveX server

Does anyone know the command used to create a checkbox in an excel spreadsheet using the ActiveX server? I can't find anything on it

Hi. I'm sort of looking for the same thing. Instead of creating the checkboxes, I want to read them in MATLAB and get their status (checked/unchecked). Do you know how to do it?

I'm trying to do the same thing, except also with Excel radio buttons. Currently I'm using Matlab's 'readcell' function and all the tickboxes and radio buttons are read as NaN or <missing>.
