CUDA on Windows 8.1 Matlab R2014a student edition

I am trying to install CUDA on my windows 8.1 laptop to use with my Matlab R2014a. Please suggest which version of CUDA toolkit and Visual Studio should be installed for it. thanks

In R2014a, you should use CUDA Toolkit version 5.5. (This is shown in the output from running 'gpuDevice' - look for the field 'ToolkitVersion'). The supported compilers are listed in the CUDA 5.5 toolkit release notes - see the table on page 4.
