How can I control fluid temperature in SimHydraulics?
이전 댓글 표시
I'm currently modelling a system that needs a chiller system at some point to reduce water temperature. The chiller itself does not need to be modeled, but I do need an temperature change inside the system. I have tried to used Thermal blocks, but they don't connect with Hydraulics blocks. Anyone has an idea how can I do it? Thank you.

SimHydraulics does not model the effects of temperature changes on liquids. You basically set up the liquid to operate at a particular temperature (i.e., set of properties) and assume that the system's temperature will not change much.
From the SimHydraulics documentation:
"SimHydraulics software is based on the assumption that fluid temperature remains constant during the simulated time interval, and this temperature must be set as a parameter together with the relative amount of entrapped air."
If you are using MATLAB R2013b or later, Simscape provides a Thermal Liquid foundation library which you can use. Otherwise, you can look into the Simscape Language to model this from scratch. This example can help with that.
