How do we store an image template in a database in MS Access?

We are working on an attendance system using fingerprint,which matches 2 fingerprint templates of type "File".We are using MS Access.On saving the template as type "Attachment" or "OLE File", the matching code does not work since the filetypes of the input template and templates stored in database do not match. Could you please suggest a different DB or a different datatype to store the fingerprint templates in MS Access?
