Is it possible to deploy a GUI made using GUIDE with Matlab builder for JA?

I need to include some GUIs made with GUIDE into java programs and I want to use Matlab Builder for JA. While deploytool seems to support it, I'm not being able to make it work and I can't find any example or tutorial about it. The GUI starts but some components don't show. Is this supported?

Well, the workaround shown here seems to work for Java 6:

I need to use Java 7 or even Java 8 though. I will update to last Matlab release to see if it is fixed.
