cd work

i typed cd work in command window but follwing error:

 cd work
Caught "std::exception" Exception message is:
Message Catalog was not loaded from the file. Please check file location, format or contents

What do you get with

which -all cd

It should be something like:

built-in (/usr/local/matlab/r2010b/toolbox/matlab/general/cd)
/usr/local/matlab/r2010b/toolbox/matlab/iofun/@ftp/cd.m        % ftp method
