how can I get the MATLAB editor ot print in landscape mode? Incredibly, under Print, Page Setup..., Layout, there is nothing about Landscape vs. Portrait!

It might be under "Properties..." on your print dialog box. Mine is. The properties window seems to be written by the printer manufacturer.
