How should I "discover" a device for Simulink w/ Data Aquisition Toolbox use?

I am trying to use the DAQ input and output blocks with a NI USB-6008. I can use session commands to communicate with the DAQ but in a Simulink Model I do not see the device in the drop-down list within the Analog Input block or any others.

Matlab seems pretty happy with communicating with the thing but Simulink, or at least the blocks, won't see it.

I have the Data Acquisition Toolbox 3.1, Simulink 7.9, Matlab 7.14.
