candlestick chart problem

I use candle function to chart a time series of exchange rate. The function works well when I chart 30 minutes per bar for a short period say 10 days (see good chart below), but only shows vertical lines when I chart 30 minutes per bar for a longer periods say 30 days (see bad figure below).

I have the same problem. I cannot plot more that a fixed number of candles correctly. This is quite annoing, please give some help Ale

Just wondering if you have explicitly defined the width of the candlestick somewhere in your code?

no, I did not, just use candle function's all default setup.
