i am doing a project on image segmentation . the code must in matlab. am completly new to matlab and have no guidance here at all. can any one help me out with this?? any suggestions about the codes or algorithm for image segmentation would be helpful

There are a few demos in the matlab document. You can visit http://www.mathworks.com/products/image/demos.html to see.
